by Jane Roberts (prospective Diploma student)
(West Wickham, Kent)

Practise approx the last couple of lines of the end of a piece (from a suitable point) fairly early on in learning it, as it should give the overall 'story' of the piece, i.e. not only how it begins, but how it develops and how it finishes.

The ending is crucial
by: Clara

Thank you Jane for your useful tip. Sorry that I missed out on your submission earlier on. Yes, indeed the ending to a piece is such a crucial part of the whole story. Taking time to practise the ending well - meaningful and sincere, never in a rush always pays off.
